Queensland CTP scheme is under review
The Queensland regulator, MAIC, has just reviewed the CTP insurance scheme in Qld and made some recommendations. The point of the review was to see if the scheme could be more affordable, efficient and fairer. It examined, for example, premium prices, legal fees, ridesharing and insurer profits. Read more
Review of Lifetime Support and CTP schemes in SA
The South Australian government is reviewing the Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS) and 2013 reforms to the CTP scheme. First of all, the reviewing committee invited submissions from interested parties by 27 April 2017.
Pay an extra levy for taxis and Uber
The new Labor government in the Northern Territory has decided to make ridesharing legal. A committee of Uber, Taxi Council and others, has been investigating the best way to put ridesharing reform in place.
